OUR UNIQUE PRICES & SERVICES

Our online shop offers you a ‘click & collect’ service or a delivery service which is unique for deli produce & hampers
purchased online. Our aim is for you to receive quality local and homemade produce at great value so our prices online are exactly the same as in our Appledore & Instow shops for the finished product! This means online prices are extremely competitive & appealing to our customers. Similarly, delivery charges are not elevated, it simply costs you what it costs us.

YOUR HAND PACKED PARCEL

Your goodies will be carefully packed by hand by one of our team in our branded boxes. Our handcut cheeses are wrapped in waxed paper and labelled with the name of each cheese plus we add an ice pack for all chilled items to maintain the correct temperature during transit and where necessary we pop bubble wrap around this too to protect the rest of the products and packaging. All our cardboard packing is from a local supplier using sustainably sourced materials and is fully recyclable.

FREE CLICK & COLLECT

For your convenience, we are happy to offer a click and collect service for all items available to purchase in our online shop. Collection will be available from either our Appledore or Instow stores before we close on your chosen day of collection.
We simply need you to give us a minimum of 1 day’s notice from placement of your order so that we can ensure your order is packaged ready for you. Our store opening times will show when you place your order to help you chose your collection date.

These details have to be filled in simply to enable you to reach the payment screen.

DELIVERY SERVICES & RATES

Your order will be personally handed over to a Royal Mail driver or our local courier for next delivery to mainland UK.
Please contact us for guidance regarding deliveries to the Scottish highlands, all UK islands & further afield.

Orders under £15 – £5.95 for 1st class Royal Mail delivery

Orders from £15 & over – £8.95 for next day courier service

Orders placed before 4pm on Mondays through to Wednesdays inclusive will be given to our courier the following day for delivery to you the next day (provided this option is chosen at the checkout). For example, an order placed before 4pm on Wednesday will be delivered to you on a Friday. Orders placed before 4pm on Thursdays through to Sundays inclusive will be processed on Monday mornings and the above terms will apply.

If you would prefer a Saturday delivery, then please contact us on 01271 860310 and we will offer you the next day delivery options available through our Post Office or you may prefer to use our ‘click & collect’ service, which is absolutely free.

If you do have a last minute request then please just give us a ring on 01271 860310 and we’ll do our very best to
find a solution for you.

To help us to help you, please ensure at checkout that you give us accurate delivery information including your postcode so
we can arrange for your parcel to be delivered safely. We cannot be held responsible for any parcels not being delivered if incorrect/incomplete delivery information is given. We also recommend that you give us the recipient’s telephone number
just in case the driver has trouble finding an address so that a quick call can be made.

You will receive an e-mail from us to confirm receipt of your order and another to let you know that we have dispatched it, which you’ll then be able to track.

RECEIPT OF YOUR DELIVERY

We recommend that you select a delivery address where your order can be received by someone to enjoy maximum quality
of your purchase from Johns, particularly the chilled items eg our local clotted cream, cheeses, milk & sausages, which will benefit from refrigeration upon receipt. All orders delivered by our local courier to home or work addresses require a
signature at point of delivery anyway.

If the delivery service is unable to obtain a signature, a card will be left so that a re-delivery or collection from a local
depot can be arranged. Please note that unfortunately we cannot be held responsible for any parcel that is not received
by someone on delivery.

We have used Royal Mail & our local courier service reliably for our Devon clotted cream by post for many years, however,
there may be a rare occasion where it is outside our control that you do not receive your delivery eg transport breakdown, adverse weather. Do let us know as soon as possible if your package does not arrive on the specified day and we will do our
very best to correct the problem.

PAYMENT

We offer secure online payment through Paypal which accepts all major debit and credit cards. A Paypal account is not
necessary for payment. We ask you to create an account with Johns online so that you can sign in securely each time and
store your address details making it quicker for you to place future orders. For security reasons, your credit card details will
not be retained by our system and we assure you that your personal information will not be shared with anyone else other
than for the purposes of delivering your order!

EXCLUSIVE & SEASONAL OFFERS

Your custom is valued by the team at Johns so in providing your e-mail address when you set up your online account with us,
we will then e-mail you with exclusive & seasonal online offers at Johns.

RETURNS

Your order will be hand packed with care by one of our team and we use professional couriers for delivery to ensure it
reaches you in tip top condition. However, if you do find that an item has been damaged in transit, please notify us by
e-mail (sales@johnsofinstow.co.uk) within 24 hours of receipt of your order so that we can rectify the problem with you.
We have selected reliable delivery services and may need you to photograph or return the item back to us in its
original packaging. Please note, the return postage costs are the purchaser’s responsibility.

If goods are returned to us via the courier following unsuccessful attempts at delivery and where delivery instructions
have been met, then understandably no refund will be made.

DELIVERIES TO MORE THAN ONE ADDRESS

The delivery charge covers delivery to one address so if you would like to send items to more than one address
then please place separate orders for each. This is often the case for sending our local clotted cream,
homemade brownies & hampers as gifts to friends and family.

PRODUCT AVAILABILITY

All products listed online are subject to availability and due to the production of artisan cream & cheeses from small
producers there may be rare occasions where they are not available. If this happens we would advise you, so long as you
have given us your e-mail at the checkout, or we would send you an alternative product(s) to the same quality & value.

CHEESE WEIGHTS

We do our best to cut the cheese accurately, however, with this being done by hand very occasionally the weights
may not be totally precise.

ALCOHOL

Please note that some hampers contain alcohol and that alcohol is sold via this site. The minimum age for buying alcohol
is 18 and it is illegal to buy alcohol if under this age and also illegal to buy it for those under 18.

WEBSITE ACCURACY

We make every effort to ensure that all the information & pricing on our website is correct. We will check prices as part of
our dispatch procedures and if there was a hiccup, we would contact you.

Products may vary slightly from the images on our website. Sometimes our images use props and in these cases the product description clearly specifies what you will receive. A full list of products is supplied for all our local produce hampers and gifts.
